In cooperation with the national statistical offices, about 400 individual statistics are produced. For this purpose, IT applications and tools for statistical production are to be designed, developed or adapted, to support users and to carry out operational tasks in cooperation with a data center. The unit is responsible for providing this IT process for data processing and integrates it into holistic production processes.

You conduct and control a unit with currently 24 employees and 5 speakers. With your management expert, you will design the organizational development of the unit and its tasks with regard to contemporary methods for SW development and deployment. With your expertise in software development and system integration (including finished software products), you support the technical processes in the Federal Statistical Office and the Statistical Association. You design the software landscape for data processing as part of an overall IT architecture “state of the art”. You are responsible for the implementation of projects in your unit and the ongoing product care. Cooperation with external service providers in the area of responsibility is controlled by you. The Federal Statistical Office is represented by you in the area of responsibility both nationally and internationally.
