Number: MER0003VWZ Are you studying an MINT study program and interested in a mandatory or combination internship with a strong relation to electromobility? You have fun working in the interface between pre/development, production and quality? From March 2026, an exciting theme field awaits you in the area of the axial flow machine. We are part of the planning and production technology center for the drivetrain at Untertürkheim site and represent the link between pre-development and series production. We provide the latest and most innovative manufacturing technologies in the production environment and ensure the maturity of revolutionary manufacturing processes up to series production. In addition to many manufacturing and measuring technical and further questions from the development and quality sector, our team is working on. We also develop innovative manufacturing processes and processes for high-quality powertrain applications. As part of a technology project for future drive systems, we are looking for a mandatory intern with the focus on the further development of production technologies in the axial flow machine at the next possible time. Your tasks include: Literature research in the fields of electromagnetic production influences of electrical drive technology, manufacturing technologies for electrical drives, etc.

Working into the functioning and manufacturing process chain for electric motors

Development and design of tools and processes

Component and component analyses of active materials (electro plates, coils, magnets)

Optimization of production influences on the electromagnetic behavior of E-motor components

Technology development for future manufacturing processes

The activity can begin from March 2026.

Course of study in the field of natural, engineering, technical or comparable course of study with deepening electrical engineering, electrical drive technology, electromobility, production technology, etc.

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office, CAD, prior knowledge of electromagnetic simulation of advantage, programming knowledge of Matlab/Python/C of advantage
