Entry as a specialist in track construction incl. language course (m/f/d)

If you already have a training from your home country, want to restart professionally and want to improve your German language skills, we will prepare you to join the Deutsche Bahn. At the next time, we are looking for you to enter as a specialist in track construction (w/m/d). You will receive a B2 language course and the option of qualifying for the Fachkraft Oberbau at DB InfraGO AG in Munich or Rosenheim. At the beginning you will take 10 weeks to a local language qualification in Munich. If your place of residence is more than 90 minutes away, you will receive accommodation for the period of qualification. There you can improve your German knowledge from B1 to B2 level. After successful completion of the language qualification, the technical qualification for the full recognition of your professional qualifications follows in a qualification center in Ditzingen and at your future location. After that, you start as a specialist in track construction and optionally run through our qualification program for the technical team Oberbau. Your tasks:

You will first take part in our B2 language course and complete it successfully with a B2 language exam In the training phase, you will already get insights into the basics of railway operation and learn the specialist vocabulary You will then be responsible for the constant maintenance of our rail network and our track systems Inspection, maintenance and repair work on, for example, rails, thresholds and track bed can be carried out independently and reliably You're sure to use machinery, equipment and tools in the field of railway construction During your daily work, you always have a look at the safety of your teammates You're going through our internal training program, regularly attending training courses and constantly learning about it

Your profile:

You have a successfully completed training as a specialist in civil engineering, steel construction, concrete construction, metal construction, masonry or in another technical profession or a university degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar technical field The partial recognition of your professional qualifications from abroad is already available. During the period of your qualification, we help you achieve full recognition Ideally, you already have professional experience as a track builder or in the construction industry You are ready for shiftwork (night, weekend and holiday work) as well as outdoor work Ideally, you already have German knowledge at least level B1. You can also apply with German skills at level A2 – together we will check which skills and development possibilities are possible for a later entry. A class B licence valid in Germany is already available or ready to rewrite it in a timely manner. For language and professional training, you bring a lot of commitment and willingness to learn You like physically demanding activities and like to work in the team
