MFA / Lateral entry as a geriatric nurse // Nurse (m/f/d)

You work interdisciplinary with doctors, diabetes advisers and wound managers together in mutual support. You serve closely and trustfully relatively independently the patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes as well as pregnant women with gestational diabetes in the preparation of finding for the patients. You independently create the physical pre-examinations of the patients: e.g. creation of the foot after vibration, tip-term, monofilament, reflexes, possibly welding test. You are responsible for blood sugar measurement, measurement of HbA1c, CRP, U-status, albumin/creas determination in urine. Also for blood collection, rare infusions. You support the practice in independent, responsible device diagnostics, such as long-term blood pressure measurement, lufu, CW-Doppler studies, EKG, application and explanation of a polygraphy. Carefully explain to the patient the correct handling of a blood sugar meter and lead to the independent correct insulin application. You support patients closely with the team in hiring modern insulin therapies and diabetes technology. You are responsible with the team for reading out the various measuring systems of blood sugar meters, insulin pumps, AID systems, and CGM systems ( libre, Dexcom etc.) in the computer. You are also sensitive and competent in contact with patients at the registration and also by telephone: for appointment - acceptance and forwarding of the patients to their investigations - problem solution in case of difficulties with the measuring systems etc. Of course, administrative activities such as scanning, sorting, measurement quality control, sterilization etc. are also part of their everyday activities.
