To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated Cloud & Network Infrastructure Engineer (m/w/d) for our location in Föhren or Willich.

You shape LivEye's cloud infrastructure and connectivity. Your focus is on AWS Cloud Networking, hybrid infrastructures and the secure connection of our Cloud Platform with existing cloud systems as well as our camera, sensor and IoT systems in the field. Together with the Cloud Platform Engineer, you will develop the AWS target architecture and take over AWS infrastructure topics, depending on your profile. The classic Core IT is not one of the focal points of this role that you will work closely with at the common interfaces.

Your tasks

Conception, development and development of our cloud and network infrastructure in AWS Build and operate secure network architectures with Amazon VPC, subnets, routing, DNS, security groups and load balancing Conception and operation of hybrid connections as well as Site-to-Site VPN, IPsec, AWS Client VPN and other secure remote access solutions Network Security and segmentation with firewalls such as OPNsense and secure communication and certification concepts Further development of the connectivity of our mobile LivEye camera, sensor and IoT systems to the cloud, including AWS IoT Connectivity in close coordination with the development team of embedded software Migration of existing IONOS cloud infrastructure to AWS with a focus on network connections, connectivity and infrastructure dependencies Automation and development of AWS Cloud Infrastructure with OpenTofu/Terraform – in close coordination with the Cloud Platform Engineer Analysis of complex cloud, network and connectivity problems as well as monitoring, security and continuous improvement Lifecycle Management of Network and Security Components: Updates, Patching, Configuration Backup and Renewal of Certificates creation and maintenance of architectural specifications, network documentation, runbooks and postmortems; Participation in readiness

The position is executed in presence, it is not a remote location.

Multiannual practical experience with cloud, network or hybrid infrastructures and very good understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, NAT and DNS Practical experience with cloud networking – ideally AWS VPC or comparable cloud networks – and VPN technologies such as IPsec, Site-to-Site VPN or WireGuard Experience with firewall and network security concepts and good understanding of Linux-based infrastructures Experience with Infrastructure as Code or the willingness to use OpenTofu/Terraform intensively Ability to systematically analyze, solve and document complex infrastructure and connectivity issues self-employed, practical work; Willingness to control existing and new AWS systems grown in parallel during migration Very good knowledge of German (at least B2) and good knowledge of English for technical documentation

Compulsory qualifications As a provider of security services, we require a perfect management certificate.

Advantageous qualifications

AWS VPC, Route Tables, Security Groups, Site-to-Site VPN and Multi-Account Network Architectures OpenTofu/Terraform, OPNsense, strongSwan, BGP/FRR and PKI and certificate management AWS IoT Core, MQTT or comparable IoT infrastructures and migration of cloud/VM infrastructures Basic knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS and security and compliance requirements such as GDPR and ISO 27001

What you don't have to do We are not looking for a classic IT system administrator and no “all tools on senior level” generalists. Your focus is on cloud infrastructure and networking. AWS experience is expressly welcome: Depending on the profile, you can independently take on VPC, IAM, IaC, VPN or other infrastructure topics of the AWS Platform. Kubernetes, Argo CD and Software-CI/CD are key to Cloud Platform Engineering. IONOS special knowledge is not a must – the environment is migrated to AWS. .
