The BBK is the head office of the Federal Government for National Crisis Management in Germany. We ensure the quality of crisis management in a central coordination role with federal, international and cross-sector partners. In view of this task, our interdisciplinary team is growing steadily. We are looking for unlimited duration at the next time an IT expert (m/w/d) with focus on IT procurement and data management in the Unit G.4 “Digitalization of Population Protection” in Bonn. Administrative control and IT procurement – with your technical expertise, you support the IT procurement and procurement unit, budget planning and management of budget overviews for IT and general administrative tasks. Data management – ensure the quality, up-to-date and availability of the data base for our digital applications and our analysis team. This includes the connection of web interfaces and automated data transmission. You create and maintain ETL processes for data processing and processing in our specialist software. Quality assurance – you contribute to the quality assurance of our digital products. You will implement existing quality assurance processes and maintain the documentation of our projects. Operation and administration of IT – you support the operation of our IT infrastructure. In doing so, you conduct self-testing of the software and work with the monitoring and administration of our IT.

You have successfully completed a three-year vocational training with reference to the area of responsibility, e.g. as a specialist informant, merchant/woman for digitalization management, merchant/woman for IT system management or comparable training with IT focus, or are close to their completion. You are IT-affin and are happy to work in technical problems. You have proven experience with data banks and web technologies – ideally in the context of geographical information systems. You have knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, SQL. You work thoroughly and reliably, are a team player and like to work with others. You are thrilled with data and digital solutions and are characterized by service affinity and a high level of readiness. A very good expressiveness in German and solid basic knowledge in English (German C2/English A2 according to GER) complete your profile. Since our tasks are safety-relevant and event-oriented, we need your willingness to extend the safety review and to participate in the BBK crisis organization.
