We are looking for our HZG 5 “Transfusion Medicine Cell Therapy and Fabric Preparations” department at the next possible time Support as Research assistant / Senior Consultant (m/w/d) We, the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, are a scientific institution of the federal government which is responsible for the testing and approval of vaccines and biomedical medicines and operates research in the field of life sciences. Networking with national and international actors makes us a competent contact for the public, science, medicine, politics and business. The HZG 5 “Transfusion Medicine Cell Therapy and Fabric Preparations” Department of Haematology, Cell and Gene Therapy” supervises the field of blood components for transfusion, stem cell preparations for hematopoietic reconstitution and human tissue preparations at the Paul-Ehrlich Institute. It assesses applications for authorisation/accreditation as well as manufacturing and testing procedures and checks blood banks, stem cell and tissue manufacturers on site. The project As part of a collaborative research project funded by the BMFTR to establish a crisis-resilient organisation and supply system for blood products (KRIOS), we are looking for a dedicated colleague (m/w/d) at the next possible time.

Leading participation in the processes and protocols to be developed in the project and ensuring compatibility of the like with existing and future regulatory requirements Support in establishing a database system (hybrid exchange platform) for real-time monitoring of blood stocks and requirements Advising the establishment of an early warning system for imminent supply bottlenecks Ensuring usability of the project results for all blood donation services in DE Interdisciplinary cooperation with the partners and project participants Coordination interface blood donation services, authorities and KRIOS team Publication and presentation of scientific results

Complete scientific study of natural sciences, such as biology, biochemistry, human biology, or medicine, or a related study programme Promotion desired Transfusion medical/regulatory knowledge (required) Secure, creative handling of databases and modern data communication High affinity for data processing systems desired Excellent cooperation and team skills Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary cooperation Impressive performance and loadability Very good German and English language skills in word and writing Please note that a declaration in accordance with § 77a AMG must be made in the event of the conclusion of the contract.
