Dental specialist Senior Consultant (m/w/d)

The dental service makes an important contribution to equal opportunities and prevention. With regular dental examinations, early education and personal speech, we reach children where their everyday life takes place: in childhood and schools. This is not only about findings, but about trust, orientation and sustainable health promotion.

Our team consists of three dentists and two dental professionals. The Dental Service of the Health Office carries out serial investigations and group prophylaxis in nurseries and schools, represents the Siegen-Wittgenstein County in the Dental Health Working Group and produces dental advice.

Tasks

• Assistance in dental examinations and prophylaxis in nursery and schools:
• digital determination
• Evaluation of individual findings to determine treatment requirements
• Knowledge transfer within the framework of group prophylaxis:
• self-employed, child-according knowledge transfer in the groups of daycare centres with practical exercises according to legal principles
• age-appropriate education of children and adolescents with regard to the prevention of dental, oral and jaw diseases as well as tooth enamel curing, including current scientific findings
• preparation and follow-up of series tests and group prophylaxis:
• Requirement and maintenance of consent declarations as well as of pupils and kitalists for the data collection of children and young people in the specialist software, continuous control of collected data in specialist software on topicality
• independent scheduling and agreement for serial investigations and group prophylaxis
• daily equipment of the junior dental team with group prophylaxis materials (according and distributing materials), dental examination instruments and other documents, materials and objects required for the examination.
• Examination notices to caregivers
• Assistance in the preparation of dental advice:
• Date management for expert investigations
• Chair assistance
• IT-based credit
• implementation of hygiene measures according to validated procedures with detailed documentation, with strict compliance with detailed standard work instructions:
• Hygienic treatment of reusable medical devices used in series investigations and expert investigations
• Disinfection of the inventory in the treatment room and hygiene room
• Implementation and documentation of regular functional controls and maintenance measures
• Other:
• General administrative matters such as protocols and scriptures
• Documentation and statistics on group prophylaxis
• Organisation and participation in events of project days to dental health
