The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS-Hof Bockum (in the district of Lüneburg) is an institution of the SOS Kinderdorf e. V. for the social and professional integration of adult people with mental disabilities. For about 100 people there are differentiated forms of housing and work opportunities in the recognised workshop for disabled people.

In the SOS-Hof Bockum we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in permanent employment, part-time (28 h/w)

In our home community, eight adult people live with mental impairments in a protected and familiar environment. This is not just about care, but about real living together, about reliability, proximity and mutual respect. As an educational specialist, you take responsibility for this special habitat and give the residents safety, orientation and participation. During the non-service periods of the housekeepers, You take on comprehensive educational responsibility for the home community and ensure a secure, stable and trusting framework. You escort the residents in their everyday lives and help them to maintain, strengthen and develop their everyday practical skills You actively shape everyday life – from structured daily routine to small rituals that give orientation and security You plan, organize and accompany varied leisure and community offers, which prepare joy, attract interests and promote social contacts You enable and promote the participation of residents in social and social life within and outside the institution You represent the household parents responsibly on free days, on holiday and in case of illness and ensure continuity and reliability You work confidently with colleagues and other professionals and are constructively involved in the team You always act attentively, attentively and responsibly in the sense of the protection of children and responsibilities The activity is carried out in the context of a reliable alternating model: longer service times change with longer contiguous free times. Bets on every second weekend are included. A binding and long-term service planning ensures planning security.

You have a degree as an educator or a curative caregiver*in or another educational/career qualification You have experience in accompanying adult people with mental impairments You revolve professionally, reflectively and sensitively with closeness and distance and always meet the residents with respect and attention You bring sense of responsibility, empathy and a value-adding basic attitude with You work independently, structured and reliable and also keep quiet and overview in challenging situations You are happy to build, maintain and shape relationships in the long term
