Your studies – theory meets communication and design

Theory: You are studying digital media at the Baden-Württemberg University of Applied Sciences (DHBW) in Mannheim, Germany, focusing on media publishing and design (MPG). You learn how to combine technology, design, business and communication – and how to effectively plan, design and implement digital content.

Practice: At the ZDI, the Centre for Digitization and Information Technology at the University Hospital Heidelberg, you will become part of our communication team. Everything is about building a strong, transparent and lively communication structure – for the ZDI itself, for the clinics and also for our external representation. You are working on exciting projects that combine digital communication, media design and innovative technologies. • Participation in the further development of our SharePoint-based service portal Support in building interactive dashboards and communication blogs Creation and design of digital and print-based media around ZDI Development of communication formats for IT projects and change processes Support in implementing internal and external communication measures Working on the automation of communication processes

General Higher Education (Abitur) or Fachhochschulreife – ideally with good services in German, art/media design and computer science Interest in media design, communication and digital platforms Technical understanding and openness for digital tools Self-working, team spirit and communicative strength First knowledge of design software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or Tools for website design (e.g. WordPress, HTML/CSS) are a plus
