Head of Fleet and Shipping in the night and morning shift (m/f/d)

We advise companies from the food industry around the subject of personnel throughout Germany. Our customers are medium-sized, owner- or family-run companies that enjoy a long tradition and outstanding regional brand awareness. Our customer is an established bakery producer in Würzburg. The handicraft company convinces with its long-term positioning on the market with outstanding product qualities and a sustainable company management. The responsibility in the position includes the management of the fleet and the operational control of the dispatch area. The activity requires a regular start of work in the night and early hours (about 1:00–2:00). Tasks You lead and are responsible for the entire fleet with around 15 employees and bear the technical and disciplinary personnel responsibility. You take over the employee disposition, plan tours and ensure efficient operation control of the drivers. You continuously optimize logistics processes in shipping and drive improvement processes in a structured manner. You ensure compliance with the defined quality, hygiene and safety standards and proceed with a good example. You actively cooperate in the daily operating business and, if necessary, assist in picking and in the processes of shipping. Requirements You have completed training in the field of logistics, forwarding, warehouse management or a comparable qualification. You bring several years of professional experience in the field of logistics and fleet management as well as proven leadership experience. You have a well-founded knowledge of the warehouse organization, tour planning and control of logistical processes. Knowledge in the field of HACCP or IFS is advantageous. You act solution-oriented, pragmatic and with pronounced hands-on mentality. You convince by a safe, binding appearance and by their ability to motivate and develop employees. A high level of sense of responsibility, organisational strength and team capacity is yours. A valid driving licence of class C or CE is required.
