Make digital product teams significantly stronger: more technically sustainable, faster delivery, more independent decision-making. This is the core of this role, and it has little to do with the classic image of Agile Coaches. Moderate ceremonies and manage boards, today does not create a value that a good team does not manage. That is why we are not talking about Agile Coaching anymore, but about Digital Product Excellence: discipline to make product teams so strong technically and humanly that You make good decisions themselves, about architecture, quality, about the use of AI in development.

At Hellmann we build HeRo, our new transport management system for European land transport. It solves a system that has been controlling German land transport for decades, and it is already productive in large parts. No Greenfield, but in the middle of the trip: the teams deliver, and You need someone with the technical depth that keeps their solutions viable without taking their responsibility off.

We believe that strong teams control themselves, and that this is not a self-proprietor. Autonomy only carries on common orientation and real responsibility, and all three need a foundation: the skills of the teams, professionally and technically. We understand responsibility as a feedback loop, not as a pressure medium. At HeRo, technical leadership, professional leadership and digital product excellence (DPE) work hand in hand. DPE is your home in the company, your column is the capability, and you are responsible for a result: that your teams deliver, become visible better and control themselves.

You’re making several HeRo teams stronger: you’re accompanying reflections, plannings, retros and dailys with a view to flow, quality and technical sustainability, and you’re just standing up to deliver at the end.

You recognize early when a solution is no longer technically available, and bring it to the language without taking over the technical or professional leadership of the teams.

You will complete your work at the stages of the software development cycle, towards facilitation, domain modeling and decision-making of the teams.

You stand for liability: progress becomes visible, the feedback loop takes action, and when a team runs out of balance (a lot of movement with little result, or freedom without ground), you say it. Even if it is uncomfortable.

You enable teams to develop AI-augmented products and make modern tooling practices concretely usable in everyday development. In our development, AI is not a pilot project, but everyday life that we actively develop.

As part of Digital Product Excellence (DPE), you’ll be able to determine how product development works across the team at Hellmann: you’ll bring insights from the team practice into our common enablement strategy and work closely with the AI platform.

Technical depth, self built. You come from technology and have grown into work with people (as a developer or architect who has noticed that he makes teams stronger than code alone), or you are coach with real technical substance, self-developed, not read. Both ways are welcome, the mixture of both is the point.

You talk about architecture, code quality and solution design at eye level.

Facilitation and modelling are your craft, not your side. You help teams model their domain cleanly and get their own, viable decisions.

Experience as Agile Coach, Scrum Master or technical Facilitator in cross-functional product teams, with detectable effect in practice.

You moderate strongly without dominating, and can still claim liability if a team needs it.

Of course, AI belongs to your tool box. You didn't just try it out, but you used it actively in your daily work.

Logistics or Hellmann domain knowledge is not required. Curiosity is sufficient for a complex specialist domain and rapid understanding.
