The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS Children's Village Sauerland in Lüdenscheid supports children, young people and their families in difficult locations as a youth supporter. The offer portfolio includes children's village families, differentiated care offers of various housing groups, cared for housing, outpatient flexible assistance, animal-assisted pedagogy, three-public daycare facilities, two of them with a family centre, as well as childcare projects.

At the SOS Children's Village Sauerland we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in permanent employment, part-time (30 hours/day)

As Head of Education (m/w/d) you take over a responsible key position in the SOS Children's Village Sauerland. You conduct the educational management and employees assigned to you, ensure the high quality of our offers and actively shape their professional and conceptual development. We understand leadership as a common form: You give orientation, promote self-responsibility and create a working environment in which employees can best contribute their skills and potentials. In close and trusted cooperation with the institution management as well as as as a member of the team of departmental directors, you will be actively supporting the future of the SOS Children's Village Sauerland. Your tasks include: You take over the professional, human and organizational management of your area of responsibility and ensure the achievement of the agreed goals. You continuously control and develop the pedagogical work as well as concepts, help processes and professional standards. You guide and support your employees and management staff in an esteeming and participative manner and promote their professional and personal development. You advise and support complex case constellations and conflict and crisis situations. You create a trusted and cross-sectoral cooperation with specialist services, departments, staff offices and the institution management. You contribute to budget planning, pay negotiations and performance and quality development agreements. Together with the setup management and the team of departmental management, you will design the technical and strategic development of the SOS Children's Village Sauerland. You are responsible for quality assurance and development and are actively engaged in cross-departmental projects. You represent your area to the inside and outside and ensure the consistent implementation of child and care protection.

You have a completed university degree in social work, social education or childhood education or a comparable qualification. You bring well-founded knowledge of child and youth assistance as well as several years of professional experience in an educational field. Ideally, you already have leadership or leadership experience. You lead to appreciation, clear and participative and promote self-responsibility, cooperation and development. You convince by communication strength, social competence and consulting competence. You think strategically and solution-oriented, make responsible decisions and keep an overview even in complex situations. You bring experience in the further development of educational concepts, quality standards and organizational processes. You work structured, binding and self-responsibility and bring joy in joint design and change.
