As Jabil Optics Germany GmbH in Jena, we are part of the world's second-largest contract manufacturer Jabil and lead in the development of opto-electro-mechanical modules for Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality, modern camera systems and gesture control/ 3D Sensing. In an international team, we develop innovative customer-specific solutions for globally leading brand manufacturers. Jabil employs more than 140 000 people globally. At the Optics Design Center in Jena, we develop opto-electro-mechanical design solutions for AR/VR glasses, autonomous driving (LiDAR, Driver Monitoring, ADAS camera systems, eye tracking), robotics, action cameras, smartphones, endoscopes and many other applications.

To strengthen our development site in Jena, we are looking for a full-time (36h or 38h / week) right away:

Technical Project Manager for the development of opto-electro-mechanical systems (m/w/d)

Management and coordination of technical teams to ensure successful project implementation Management of decision phases and support in defining technical specifications Guide and promote Troubleshooting activities during the build phases for quick problem solving and optimization Responsibility for the planning and development of projects with strategic importance for Jabil Optics Participation in the technical design of complex design solutions for mass production/pre-series production Compilation of interdisciplinary, intercultural and global teams Planning and monitoring of resources and costs Ensuring quality, cost and time targets at all stages of the project Persecution of changes and reporting to senior management

successfully completed university studies in a technical-natur science course sound knowledge of project management processes in the group environment multiannual experience in managing development and production teams in the industrial environment Knowledge of the development of opto-mechanical/ opto-electronic systems as well as experience with product transfer to production required very good communication skills and experience with the professional management of teams knowledge of English in word and writing international readiness to travel (phase-by-step/about 10%)
