With Mercedes-Benz AG we are one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars as well as vans. At Mercedes-Benz we design the automotive generations of the future. Our department is responsible for the system development and the rollout of driving and parking systems. We develop a wide range of ADAS products – from the rear camera to lane retention systems to remote parking via smartphone app. The Immendingen site offers ideal conditions with its modern test site to test and develop future-oriented assistance systems. The development of functions from SAE Level 3 opens up exciting new topics. As a working student*in, you support us in the integration and use of virtual reality technologies in the ADAS environment. The aim is to develop and use innovative VR applications for the simulation, visualization and evaluation of driver assistance and parking functions. Their activities include: Development and adaptation of VR scenarios for the simulation of driving and parking functions

Support in the implementation of VR-based test study on user acceptance and usability

Preparation and Configuration of VR Hardware and Software

Integration of vehicle data and measurement technology into the VR environment

Processing and analysis of the collected data (e.g. synchronization, evaluation of user interactions)

Cooperation with interdisciplinary teams to further develop ADAS functions

The activity can begin from February 2026.

Studies in the field of computer science, vehicle technology, media informatics or a comparable degree programme

First experiences with virtual reality technologies (e.g. Unity, Unreal Engine)

Basic knowledge of programming (C#, Python or comparable)

Interest in driver assistance systems and automated driving

Self-employed and structured working and team skills
