The Veterinary Office of the City of Ulm is looking for a veterinary hygiene inspector*in (m/w/d) on 01.01.2027 Full time, unlimited The Veterinary Office of the City of Ulm in the Danube Valley district performs a variety of tasks in public veterinary. The varied activities combine external services and administration and make an important contribution to animal health, animal and consumer protection. Applicants of persons who meet the requirements for the qualification for veterinary hygiene control are also welcome. The necessary training lasts 11 months and can be completed within the framework of the employment relationship. For the duration of the course, a fixed-term employment relationship with remuneration is concluded by category 6 TVöD. After the successful completion of the training, the takeover into an indefinite employment relationship is expected to take place in the pay group 9a TVöD. The place is rated 9a TVöD.

Your tasks: Implementation of animal-protection checks and cross compliance and professional law controls in the field of external services Monitoring veterinary medicinal products, animal by-products and animal transport Participation in animal health surveillance and animal health control Execution of sampling, documentation of control results and preparation of deficiencies reports Preparing administrative, regulatory and criminal proceedings in the event of infringements detected Cooperation with veterinary experts, animal welfare authorities and other bodies involved

Your profile: completed training as a veterinary hygiene inspectorin or fulfilment of the requirements for the qualification as a veterinary hygiene inspectorin with appropriate vocational training (e.g. as a veterinary specialist, animal welfare, farmer*in or comparable) very good German knowledge (at least level C2) readiness to work outside the usual working hours good opinion as well as a responsible and secure judgment independent, careful and reliable operation Communication and team skills as well as safe occurrence Strength of decision and conflict safe handling of the common Microsoft Office applications as well as willingness to incorporate them into specialist software driving licence class B
