After Timo and Otmar Horl's design and construction competencies were the first generation of roller grinders, we left the local factory cellar and are represented today with two office locations in Freiburg. Together with our growing team, we continue to write the HORL® history and look forward to attracting more and more people both nationally and internationally.

Behind each successful product are thoughtful processes, strong suppliers and a purchasing team that has quality and timing. In this role, you are responsible for technical purchasing with us: from the creation of the first prototype to the supplier negotiation, you control central procurement processes and ensure that quality, price and timing are matched.

Operational daily business: You take care of offer requests, price comparisons, orders, date monitoring and invoices. You process order confirmations, clarify deviations and work closely with our specialist areas such as R&D, production and logistics. The maintenance of master data and price lists in the ERP system is also part of your responsibility.

Prototyping and pre-production procurement: You take over the main responsibility for the procurement of prototypes and pre-series components and work closely with product development. You can also research new, more efficient manufacturing methods.

Process optimization: You analyze and evaluate existing purchasing processes, support manual tasks (e.g. with ERP functions, workflows, e-procurement) and develop our processes.

Second Source: You accompany the qualification of new suppliers – from sampling to mass release – and work closely with quality and risk management. The second source strategy is documented and reflected in the ERP system.

ERP system implementation: You support the introduction of our new ERP system SAP – from process design to data migration – and help establish best practices and templates for purchasing.

You have a completed artisanal or commercial training – or you are a cross-releaser with experience in technical or operational shopping.

You bring several years of experience in purchasing, ideally in the technical environment, and have a good understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.

Ideally, you already have knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems, feel safe in handling MS Office and enjoy working digitally and structured.

You are stressful, reliable and will not let you rest even with higher work. Flexibility in short-term requests is obvious to you.

You work precisely, conscientiously and carefully – and you like to pack up when it comes to it. In doing so, you will address tasks independently, structured and solution-oriented.
