We are looking at the Department of Social Affairs - Central Services on 01.10.2026 for a social education/social worker*in for youth assistance in criminal proceedings (m/w/d) Full-time/part-time, indefinite The youth assistance in criminal proceedings is centrally located in the House of Youth Law Ulm as an independent expert group of youth assistance. She works closely with police, prosecution and court and accompanies young people in particularly sensitive situations of life and conflict. The Department of Social Affairs organizes its services within the framework of a decentralised social space concept. Payment is made by S12 TVöD-SuE.

Your tasks: Advising, accompanying and educating young people and their families on legal bases, procedures and the consequences of their actions Assessment and clarification of possible benefits of youth assistance according to SGB VIII Creation of social pedagogical opinions and reports on personality development and the situation of life for prosecution and court oral reporting in main negotiations Cooperation with police and prosecution in the House of Youth Law and other cooperation partners taking into account the (social) data protection Monitoring the fulfilment of judicial and/or prosecution instructions and obligations and drawing up an opinion on the conclusion of the proceedings Support for young people during detention and detention close cooperation with the Social Service for Families and with all Members within the framework of the social structure

Your profile: completed studies of social work / social education with state recognition (Diplom/Bachelor) or a comparable qualification well-founded knowledge in the Youth Court Act (JGG) and SGB VIII good development-psychological knowledge of the youth phase and stigmatization processes Ability to professionally handle complex, conflicting and stressful case constellations as well as professional reflection responsible, independent and flexible operation safe occurrence, communication strength and enforcement capability Team skills and organisational skills safe handling of common computer procedures
