Designing change: This is our drive at the Forschungszentrum Jülich. You run the HIG 1, consisting of 17 employees. You lead and develop your employees in an appreciation and competence-based manner. Together with the management team, you contribute to the future-oriented and strategic development of the Higher Education, Innovation Structures, Health (HIG). You control day-to-day operations (e.g. ensuring compliance with guidelines, deadlines and dates, support and control of current orders). You are responsible for funding and contracts from the fields of red biotechnology and health research. You and your area support and represent the contractors in various national and international bodies and in public relations. You represent the area of expertise and the associated funding priorities inward and outward. At management level, you work interdisciplinaryly with other business and specialist areas.

You have a completed academic degree (Master or Dipl. Univ.); preferably in the fields of natural or engineering; a promotion is desirable. You provide experience in project management, ideally within the framework of publicly funded research projects. First experience in the management is desirable. A distinct ability to reflective and targeted self-guidement is obvious to you. You are motivated and have strong team and communication skills. Compared to those from science, business and politics, you will show a safe and eager appearance. First experience in committee work is desirable. You have very good knowledge of German (C2 level) and very good knowledge of English (B2‐/C1 level). They're open for business trips.
