In the Pricing Actuariat of Allianz Versicherungs-AG we analyze the complex financial risks of the insurance business and make it predictable by using mathematical models and big data methods. Our strategically important findings thus form the basis for price calculation and tariff development, which we, together with our interface partners, are responsible for the entire insurance business of Allianz Deutschland.

We are currently looking for several interns (m/w/d) to support our team in the following activities.

This is what awaits you as an intern for the Pricing Aktuariat (m/w/d)

Development of stochastic forecasting models (risk models/storno models) and technical tariffs including the use of state-of-the-art methods for data analysis and modelling (in particular from machine learning, statistics, data mining) Further development of the academic methodology and development of efficient, innovative solutions for data collection, as well as roll-out of the corresponding infrastructure and process optimization along the entire academic value chain as part of the Technical Excellence Initiative of the Allianz Group Project work and active participation of strategic initiatives and focus topics of Allianz Versicherungs-AG Actuarial support in the development of tariffs and products (e.g. costing performance improvements and carrying out impact analyses) and in the development and parameterization of pricing tools in underwriting Creation of analytical and reporting

The stimulus and challenge of this activity lie in the exciting technical and mathematical requirements as well as the wide range of topics on the one hand and the direct operational relation to the business on the other hand. In close cooperation with the result-based units as well as other interface partners, you perform tasks along the entire spectrum of the academic value chain (data preparation, modeling, tariff development, back testing, reporting) for the entire property insurance business of Allianz Germany.

From the individual parts, you combine the overall picture with numerous cross-links and evaluate it from a higher perspective. The importance for the company and the associated relevance and visibility are correspondingly high.

That's what you bring as an intern for the Pricing Aktuariat (m/w/d)

Studies of mathematics, physics, computer science, statistics or a comparable study direction with very good performances, completed bachelor's studies of advantage Knowledge of financial and insurance mathematics of advantage Interest in financial and insurance issues, in particular on the actuariate, ideally proven by internships Very good analytical, conceptual skills and rapid understanding commitment, initiative and good communication skills Teamability and the ability to work independently Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of PC standard software (especially MS Office)
