What does a mason/concrete maker do?

Maurer manufactures all buildings for residential and commercial buildings and are also responsible for the maintenance of the construction sites. Not only the classic walls of the walls, but also the lifting of foundations belongs to the task of a mason, as well as the insulation and insulation of a building. Another task is to set up the construction site for the necessary projects and to plan the necessary steps. These include, for example, surveying tasks and the construction of scaffolds and formworks. These are all areas of responsibility which the new colleagues expect, but what is really behind them is what they experience at the construction site.

Tasks:

• manufacture of masonry from various materials (e.g. brick, limestone, pore concrete)
• Forming and concrete work for foundations, ceilings, walls and stairs
• Reinforcement work (shifting of steel reinforcements according to plan)
• Refurbishment and maintenance of buildings from masonry and concrete
• Design of waterproofing against moisture and water
• Installation of insulation materials for heat, cold, sound and fire protection
• Operation of construction machines and tools
• Compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:

• Complete vocational training as a mason, concrete or comparable qualification (required)
• Multiannual professional experience in civil engineering
• Physical loadability and craftsmanship
• Teamability, reliability and independent operation
• Class B licence desirable
