Network Engineer (m/w/d)

You are an absolute IT crack and you know exactly what buttons you need to press so that our network runs. You take care of our existing transport network as well as new locations and network elements.

What we need

Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Optimization of the existing Transport Network (Aggregation- and Distribution-Layer (MPLS-Core)) Preparation, support and coordination of connections (business customers) and commissioning of new locations/network elements (transport network/PoPs) independent planning and implementation of projects based on specialist requirements Testing of new devices/designs in laboratory environment 3rd Level Troubleshooting/Support and support of call readiness Participation in readiness if necessary Participation in work outside business hours (maintenance window) Creation and updating of documentation Cooperation with external (service providers, manufacturers, ISPs) and other departments (Security, Sales) Transfer and exchange of knowledge with other engineers and junior engineers

2-3 years of professional experience in Enterprise or optimal service provider environments able to develop its complex problems in troubleshooting and alone as well as in team solutions good knowledge of routing/switching and extensive knowledge of protocols and technologies such as OSPF, MPLS, LDP, VPLS, BFD, QoS, PIM, LACP Interest in optimizing existing network design, improving processes in a stable manner and implementing future technologies Certification or comparable knowledge on CCNP/HCNP level high sense of responsibility and quality and ability to effectively prioritize high readiness and aspiration to develop with the team very good knowledge of German (C2) and good knowledge of English
