Koordinator*in „RWTH Postdoc Academy“ im Center for Young Academics (m/f/d)

The department “Personal Development and Talent Management” bundles all measures for RWTH's personnel and career development. With more than 500 training events per year, as well as numerous coaching, consulting, networking and information offers, RWTH supports its employees in science, technology and administration in their over-competence development. The RWTH Center for Young Academics (CYA) is the central point of contact for the career development of all doctoral students and postdocs. Within this structure, the RWTH Postdoc Academy offers doctoral researchers a comprehensive training programme, individual coaching, career guidance and networking events. The written position combines central and forward-looking tasks of personnel and career development for postdocs. The aim of the body is to actively co-develop and further develop RWTH Postdoc Academy, identify relevant future topics and develop innovative offers for an international audience. The activity combines conceptual-strategic work with operational implementation and individual advice. By means of precise instruments, the overtime development of competence is promoted by postdocs and their self-reflexion is strengthened in the orientation of career paths within and outside science. Together with your six colleagues, you are the central contact person for doctoral candidates and postdocs. Your tasks include: Conception and implementation of personnel development measures for postdocs (including identification of future-oriented topics, and methods, selection of speakers, coordination of seminar contents, negotiation of contract conditions) Planning and organisation of training events (approx. 60 per year) Implementation of career guidance and support in career orientation phases Conception and organisation of networking and information events (e.g. on topics such as career promotion, mobility, mental health, work-life balance) Perception of internal and external representation tasks (e.g. participation in events, committee meetings and conferences Working with the design of marketing materials (website, flyer, social media) Budget planning and cost monitoring

You have a completed university degree (Bachelor or comparable) Experience in the design and implementation of personnel development instruments (e.g. further education programmes), ideally in the scientific context first experiences in the career consulting of scientists Knowledge of career paths in science or the motivation to work quickly into the German doctoral and postdoc system Confidence with high-school courses and the scientific establishment or the willingness to work into them very good English knowledge of word and writing pronounced communication, presentation and networking competence an independent, structured and reliable way of working with high quality standards and design wishes Joy of teamwork and a valuable cooperative attitude in a dedicated environment

The employment is in the employment relationship. The place is to be occupied as of 11.05.2026 and is limited for the duration of a maternity period. An extension for the subsequent parental period of about 2 years is provided. The deadline is governed by § 14 para. 1 Part-time and temporary legislation (TzBfG). It is a part-time job. The regular weekly working time is 30 hours. The grouping depends on the TV-L. The place is rated up to EG 11, depending on the personal condition. .
