Head of Student Financing Department (m/f/d)

The Studierendenwerk Thüringen is responsible for the Federal Education Funding Act (BAföG) and responsible contact for the students of the state and state-approved universities in Thuringia. As department manager of the degree financing, you assume the overall responsibility of the department. Together with your deputy, the main employee and the group leader, you will lead the approximately 65 employees and ensure the performance of tasks. You control and develop the processes within the department. In doing so, you will focus on the timely processing of funding applications, the performance of the department and the statutory implementation of the BAföG. As a department manager, you will report directly to the managing director and work closely with the department manager and the state administration office.

We would like to win you in particular as Head of Department for Student Finance if you: preferably through a completed law-scientific university degree (full-jurist*in) or have completed relevant university studies (master level), already have several years of professional experience in the management of large teams, preferably in the administrative field, ideally possess knowledge in the enforcement of BAföG, administrative or social law, bringing knowledge in controlling / reporting as well as having an interest in technical development and have the ability to motivate and guide employees and bring a high level of consulting skills, service orientation and communication strength.
