Our specialist area “Functional Drive System Development & Architecture” is responsible for the functional system development of the driving functions and the software integration of the eDrive components in all fully-electric Mercedes-Benz cars. Within the department we are looking for a dedicated working student who supports us as a customer function manager. These challenges include: Supporting our vehicle pool (flashing & encoding of eDrive control devices, vehicle diagnostics, coordination of vehicle reconstructions, care) and participation in relevant meetings

Planning & organisation of benchmark driving with various competition vehicles

Development of functional tests to verify system function requirements for various customer functions using and evaluating AI tools

Technical verification of the functional tests on various test platforms (software-in-the-loop (SiL), hardware-in-the-loop (HiL), test bench, vehicle)

Further development of test strategies and automation of software-tool-based processes

The activity can begin from December 2026.

Degree course in engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable degree course Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Programming skills (e.g. C, Python, MATLAB/Simulink) and experience in dealing with diagnosis, measurement and analysis tools (e.g. Vector) are advantageous Interest in electromobility and basic understanding of important drive functionalities Secure knowledge in MS Office Commitment and team skills Analytical way of thinking and structured working driving licence class B Due to the task area, a high presence on site is expected Additional information: We are looking forward to your online application with CV, lettering, certificates, current enrollment certificate with an indication of the semester and proof of the regular study period.
