Consultant (f/m/d), with a focus on accounting, controlling and taxes

The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) as the umbrella organisation of the 79 German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs) takes over the representation of interests of the German economy vis-à-vis the decision-makers of the federal policy and the European institutions. At the same time, it coordinates the global network of bilateral German foreign trade chambers (AHKs) with 150 locations in 93 countries. In order to strengthen our team, at DIHK, we are looking for a lecturer/referent (w/m/d) at the location Berlin in the area of finance I Controlling I Public Budget Law at the next possible time, with the focus on accounting, controlling and taxes in part or full time.

They contribute to the production of quarter, year and consolidated financial statements. The clarification of accounting questions is one of your tasks as well as the examination and release of invoices and travel expenses. They are responsible for the creation and regular revision of policies to ensure a functioning internal control system. They support DIHK and its subsidiaries in tax issues. They contribute to the implementation of digitalization projects in the financial sector. The weighting of the aforementioned tasks is based on your qualifications. The focal points of your activity are defined in agreement with the department management. They work in a dedicated team to coordinate business, financial and tax issues of the IHK organization.

You have successfully completed a degree in economics (Master or Diploma) and have already gained first professional experience in the fields of audit/tax consulting, banking and/or accounting/controlling. We require knowledge of modern accounting software as well as safe handling of Excel. They are able to communicate and present convincingly and have a very good linguistic ability. We require a high level of service orientation, team capacity and commitment, as well as the willingness to work on new topics. Their profile is rounded off by an independent way of working as well as analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
