The German Museum of Technology We, the Stiftung Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin (SDTB) are one of the leading technology-historical facilities worldwide. You supervise implementation projects and coordinate the internal and external realisation structures. You create work and assembly planning for simple exhibition modules and develop high-quality execution details independently. You manufacture simple, high-quality exhibition modules based on their material processing knowledge in wood, metal, textile, plastic, glass and acrylic. You produce high-quality object holders as well as special solutions for object protection inside and outside showcases and work with the object handling. You mount object texts on and in showcases as well as graphic banners, adhesive films, floor films and other graphical media formats in space. You assemble exhibition elements, including showcases, walls and other media. You create performance descriptions and get offers. You are responsible for the selection and procurement of suitable materials for exhibition construction. You organize and coordinate internal transport. You serve the warehouse exhibition construction. You carry out regular cleaning and maintenance work in the permanent exhibition in cooperation with other works involved. You wait and repair exhibition modules. You wait and maintain interactive exhibits and exchange formats. You regularly check the exhibition spaces for safety and functionality.

You have completed vocational training as a carpenter, carpenter, wood mechanic, advertising technician or comparable qualification. Multiannual professional experience is desirable. Ideally, you will bring experience in exhibition construction and in cooperation with museums. You have experience in the processing and assembly of different materials. You possess safe knowledge in the current MS Office applications. Knowledge in a CAD planning program is desirable. You are distinguished by good team and communication skills for cooperation in interdisciplinary project teams. You have German knowledge at level B2. A forklift license and an operating certificate for lifting work platforms are desirable. A class B driver's license as well as existing machine tickets are advantageous.
