Master Refrigeration Technology – Focus on Heat Pumps & Trial Operation (m/f/d)

The Chair of Refrigeration Technology and Heat Pumps at the Institute for Building Engineering, Thermotechnology and Energy Storage (IGTE) of the University of Stuttgart is engaged in innovative research and development projects in the field of refrigeration, climate and heat pump technology. Our work combines basic research with application-oriented experiments on modern laboratory and test bench systems. We are looking for a dedicated master of refrigeration technology (m/w/d).

Operation, maintenance and maintenance of refrigerated equipment, heat pumps and test benches. Building, rebuilding and commissioning of experimental and demonstration facilities for research and teaching. Support in carrying out experimental research in research projects. Monitoring of operational safety, compliance with statutory regulations and accident prevention. Documentation of systems, measurement structures and maintenance work. Cooperation with scientific staff in the further development of experimental facilities. Coordination of external service providers and suppliers.

Complete training as master of refrigeration technology or state-tested technicians with appropriate professional experience. Knowledge of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology. Experience in handling various refrigerants (including natural refrigerants). Knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines and safety regulations. Craftsmanship, independent and structured work. Team skills and joy in working in a university research environment. Basic knowledge in the handling of measurement and control technology of advantage. Good German skills, English skills desirable.
