Head of International Office Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences (m/f/d)

What you expect: You are directly assigned to the university management. It is possible to become a member of the enlarged Bureau. Together with the university management and the faculties, you can design and implement the university's internationalization strategy. You are responsible for the strategic, operational and structural development of the RIO, ensuring the forward-looking continuous optimization of processes, structures and priorities as well as the necessary resources. You run and manage the Reutlingen International Office (RIO) with currently 17 employees, 39 teachers and scientific assistants in three areas. You guide employees in a team- and result-oriented manner, ensure their necessary and forward-looking qualifications and competencies. You promote a corporate culture oriented towards self-initiative, innovation, service orientation and participation through an open and communicative management style. With your teams you understand yourself as impulsive and innovation-promoting with a high level of internal and external service orientation. You are responsible for the recruitment, implementation and settlement of third-party funded programmes (e.g. DAAD, Erasmus+, MWK special funds). You support university members in all matters of international cooperation and in support and cooperation programmes. You are responsible for creating and designing (cooperation) contracts. You operate active stakeholder, interface and service management, relationship and network care in the regional, national and international university landscape, as well as ministries and authorities to jointly design and implement international programs and cooperations. You present the RIO at all hierarchical levels internally and externally, maintain an open and communicative discourse with students, universities and other relevant stakeholders.

You have a completed scientific higher education (Diplom/ Magister/ Master / State Examen). You look back on a multi-year leadership experience that you have acquired ideally in the international field of a scientific or scientific institution or in educational or cultural institutions. You lead teams collegially and valued with a modern understanding of cooperation and development. You are familiar with international higher education systems, also appear sovereign and competent in the international university context. You have profound experience in project management and acquisition, application and implementation of third-party projects. You are experienced in dealing with change and digitization processes, can actively develop structures and processes and drive innovative solutions. In your way of working, you are very well organized, structured, solution- and service-oriented. You bring with them pronounced consulting skills and intercultural sensitivity, understand how to combine various stakeholders at different levels constructively. With empathy, you will inspire people for common goals! You have very good knowledge of German and English in C1 level, good knowledge of another foreign language and a very good expressiveness. Your presence in Reutlingen is desired.
