Contract manager – Supporting a contract group at a research institute part-time as a parental leave replacement (m/f/d)

The ''Contracts'' group in the field of ''Audio and Media Technologies'' contributes to the use of technologies such as mp3 and AAC, which are now used in over 10 billion devices and have already been licensed by more than 1,000 companies worldwide. Your tasks: Contract negotiations and deadline management: You coordinate conscientious contractual negotiations, take part in it together with our departments and accompany the entire process until the conclusion of the contract. Contract creation and voting: You create contracts based on predominant English templates, prepare them accurately and agree closely with our lawyers, specialist departments and external clients. Testing and tracking: You always keep in mind processes, content of contracts and legal aspects, make targeted enquiries and consistently pursue them to ensure optimal results. Interface and consulting function: You act as a central contact person for contractually relevant topics and, together with your group, support the departments of the research area ''Audio and Media Technologies'' in all contractual matters.

Complete university degree (also a university of applied sciences) with a focus on contract management or international economic law, as an alternative to comparable legal training or relevant professional experience. Ideally practice in contract management as well as in dealing with English-language contracts (e.g. AGB-based offers, cooperation or license agreements) as well as English and German secrecy agreements. Very good German and English in word and writing, especially in relation to content of the contract. Team-oriented personality with a self-responsible and structured way of working, a strong organizational talent, and a secure sense of situations and diplomatic enforcement ability that proactively collects information to efficiently shape work processes. Safe handling of the common tools of the digital work environment (e.g. Office 365), additional knowledge of SAP is a plus.
