Our client is part of an internationally active technology group and is one of the world's leading manufacturers of optical components. The company develops and produces innovative solutions in the fields of optical coatings, glass processing, structuring and connection technologies for a wide range of high-tech applications. At the Jena site, you play a central role in accounting and act as a local main address for financial and accounting issues. Through close cooperation with international finance, tax and audit teams, the position offers an exciting environment with development prospects within a globally operating company.

You take responsibility for local accounting and ensure correct and timely financial data. You are responsible for the creation of monthly and annual accounts, create booking rates and perform independent accounting. You cooperate in creditor and debitor accounting and maintain the main book. You support stock accounting and basic cost tracking. You ensure compliance with German accounting regulations and internal guidelines. You create financial reporting and support for deviation analyses. You act as a central contact person at the location for internal and external stakeholders in financial and accounting issues. You work closely with Corporate Finance and Tax as part of Group Reporting and Compliance requirements. You support internal and external audits. You identify optimization potentials and actively contribute to the further development of accounting processes and systems.

You have completed your studies in the field of accounting or finance or about a comparable qualification, for example as a balance sheet holder (m/w/d). You bring relevant professional experience in accounting, ideally in an industrial or production company. You have sound knowledge of German accounting standards and tax regulations (HGB). You ideally bring knowledge to IFRS or US-GAAP. You are able to control operational accounting processes independently and responsibly. You have very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing. You work safely with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
