As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

The Operations Network department is responsible for the operation and administration of the network components LAN/WLAN and firewall structures in its locations and data centers.

Your profile:

• Completed computer science studies or a comparable training with corresponding expertise
• Min. 5 years of professional experience in the mentioned task profile
• Good knowledge of the complex network infrastructures of Cisco (NXOS, ASA OS)
• expert knowledge in the field of routing, switching, firewall and practical experience in these areas
• High operational readiness, enforcing capacity and strong team capacity as well as high customer and service orientation
• Good knowledge of automation
• Confidence with internal business processes

Your tasks:

• Administration, Management and Troubleshooting of Network Infrastructure in Data Centers
• Support for the implementation of demanding Nexus (VXLAN & PPEN) projects and network security
• Regular participation in the readiness service
• Creating and updating concepts and documentation
• Editing and Creating Playbooks with Ansible Automation Platform
• Management, maintenance and operation of compliance reporting to ensure hardened network devices and servers
• Management and operation of SSL certificates
• Operating manager tasks for managing Linux and Windows Server (optional)
