Nurse as VAD Coordinator (m|f|d)

Professional, permanent job part-time, full-time at the earliest possible date Schüchtermann-Klinik in Bad Rothenfelde is one of the most modern and largest heart centres in Germany. Our entire team, consisting of 950 employees, has set itself the goal of providing optimal care for more than 10,000 patients a year. Our integrated clinic concept with the medical specialist departments cardiology, cardiac surgery, anaesthesiology and rehabilitation provides seamless care for patients.

Support us as a nurse (m/w/d) for VAD coordination at the next possible time. Employment can be done in full or part-time with at least 30 hours/week.

You take over the comprehensive evaluation of patients with terminal heart failure and accompany them in the context of further therapies (e.g. VAD, HTX or palliative). You serve patients with implanted art heart systems (VAD) in an interdisciplinary team – both in the outpatient and stationary environment You accompany HTX patients, including mirror determinations of immunosuppression and the organisation of diagnostic procedures (e.g. myocardial biopsy) You are responsible for the technical support of VAD systems in close coordination with the manufacturer companies You train patients, relatives and external institutions in the safe handling of the VAD system You organise and coordinate diagnostic measures and work closely with all the departments involved You take over the independent management of the VAD ambulance as well as the support of the VAD hotline You monitor the VAD systems and evaluate relevant log data You conduct the specialized wound management in the area of the Drive-Line independently

Senior Caregiver (m|w|d), Senior Caregiver (m|w|d) or Senior Caregiver (m|w|d) Multiannual professional experience in intensive care, ideal in heart surgery or anaesthesiology A specialist training in intensive care and anaesthesia care or as a Heart Failure Nurse is advantageous, but no requirement Experience in the care of VAD clients is desirable Specific further developments (e.g. wound management, case management) perfectly round the profile Willingness to participate in the call readiness service Structured, responsible and team-oriented working and flexibility and resilience Detection of existing grain protection
