Rail Management Consultants International GmbH has been a national and international company in the field of rail traffic management as well as software development and distribution for over 27 years. Our innovative IT solutions for a digital and climate-friendly future of the rail are now in use with our RailSys® Software Suite worldwide for railway companies in over 35 countries. To support our consulting team we are looking for you Senior Consultant (m/w/d) at the Hanover site.

Responsibility and know-how: With your extensive IT knowledge, the project team complements and can easily work into complex topics such as rail traffic. As a contact person for our customers and users of RailSys®, you enter our software product and develop customer- and market-oriented solutions in the team. For software development, you coordinate schedules for upcoming projects and implement ideas that you agree to internally and with the client. For this, you take responsibility from the idea to the implementation and pay attention to a smooth process and achieving the goal. Wide range of tasks: With our program you know (after successful incorporation) best, analyze current software requirements, develop technical specifications for implementation and tune them with the development department. You accompany the process together with the development department from idea to implementation to commissioning. You organize this ongoing software development in the agile environment (including Scrum methodology). You also stand by customers and exchange yourself with our national and international clients. Cross-disciplinary cooperation: In order to meet customer requirements and technical feasibility, you implement interdisciplinary innovations in the project team as well as in-house innovations and developments in our RailSys® software suite in the different departments. You are also constantly tuning with the customers to implement their requirements as best possible. Together to the goal: You work closely with your project team and with software developers, administration and management in the house to achieve the common goal: the further development of our software and the fulfillment of customer requirements.

Conclusion You have completed studies in the field of economic engineering, business management, economic informatics or comparable qualifications. Cross-entryers from other fields of practice are also welcome. Areas of interest You are passionate about innovative software development and digitalization in the field of transport and mobility with a focus on rail transport and want to make your personal contribution to a digitalized and climate-friendly future of the rail. In addition, you’re burning for the effective planning, efficient implementation and innovative solution finding of IT projects. Knowledge Optimumly, you are familiar with the common practices (Scrum) and programs (Jira, Confluence) in project management. Dealing with the common Microsoft programs is a children's game for you.
