Our scientists develop novel methods and strategies to combat infectious diseases faster and more effectively. Our common goal are novel approaches to prevention, diagnosis and therapy of infectious diseases. Our research focuses on bacterial and viral pathogens, their interplay with the immune system of humans and new active ingredients and vaccines. Through a wide range of IT services and projects, the data center department, led by Mr Rafael Ignaczak, supports both science and administration, thereby making a fundamental contribution to the successes in the HZI infection research. In a complex IT environment at several locations, daily challenges are put to a large team and mastered in a friendly environment by means of expertise and team spirit.

You lead the Admin-IT (4 people) professional and disciplinary You are the central interface in the data center for the operational implementation of administrative digitalization projects You are responsible for the operation and further development of the entire SAP infrastructure (SAP S4HANA, SuccessFactors), including adjacent applications You coordinate the operation of various cloud applications You coordinate the smooth operation of the video conferencing systems on campus You coordinate service providers in a multi-provider environment You plan the budget for your specialist group, support the creation of the overall budget and ensure uniform contract management in the data center You coordinate the construction of an ITIL-compliant CMDB You create tender documents (performance descriptions, EVB-IT contracts, etc.) for the entire data center and agree with the purchasing and specialist groups You develop concepts and templates for operating manuals of the data center (e.g. authorization concepts) and ensure consistent quality and standardization of all internal documents You are responsible for the projects of your department You monitor all IT projects of the data center in all specialist groups and locations, ensure compliance with standards and create monthly status reports for department management You analyze, implement, optimize and document standardized processes in the data center and monitor an efficient design of IT procurement You coordinate the support for SAP and are contact persons for departments and key users You participate in relevant internal and external working groups

Successfully completed relevant studies (e.g. Business Informatics, Computer Science) and relevant multiannual experience in SAP and IT infrastructures Proven experience in the leadership of employees Experience in at least one SAP module (FI, CO, MM, HCM) and in the introduction of S4 / HANA Experience in the realization of digitalization measures and the description of business processes Experiences in IT infrastructures and system administration are advantageous You can convey technical facts addressable and understandable You are characterized by readiness, curiosity and high sense of responsibility You take responsibility for your tasks and proceed very carefully Self-responsible work and action Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
