Educational specialists for integrative youth exchanges

The learning centres are day nurseries for individual development promotion and education. They are part of the offer of the Erlangen Youth Office to strengthen families. They support children and adolescents in various situations of life, develop well, find their own way and use their talents and strengths.

Your tasks:

• Planning and individual promotion of young people from the 5th class on the basis of the legal requirements and the special conception of the urban learning institutions
• Cooperation and coordination with schools, other facilities in the district and specialist services and network partners
• Planning, coordination and preparation of school qualifications and support for young people in vocational training and job search
• Holiday trips and holiday programs, planning and implementation of project-related learning as well as organization and documentation tasks
• Promoting young people in small groups and individual work, especially for young people with special needs for integration assistance

Your profile:

• Completed vocational training as a state-recognized educatorin or comparable vocational training with recognition as a specialist or completed degree as a Diplom-Social Pedagogin (FH) or Bachelor Social Work with state recognition or comparable degree with recognition as a specialist in a children's day care facility
• Creativity and eagerness of ideas regarding the design of educational offers for young people, occasionally also outside the weekly structure
• Skills in integrative work and work with young people with increased needs
• Conceptual basic understanding of participatory work in the team and with young people
• Ability to create a sustainable educational relationship with young people
• Self-employed and structured work as well as innovative ability and joy in working with the age group of young people and intercultural work
