Project Engineer Traffic Planning in Essen (m/f/d)

You create traffic surveys and traffic reviews for a variety of planning tasks. You identify and evaluate traffic volumes and their impact on the transport network. You carry out performance certificates for nodes and traffic installations. You contribute to the creation and evaluation of macro- and microscopic traffic models and traffic simulations. You deal with traffic issues of car, foot, wheel and public transport as well as restful traffic. You develop and evaluate mobility, parking space and development concepts as well as traffic variants. You prepare the results of the investigation in a comprehensible manner and agree with clients, authorities and project partners.

You have a degree in the field of transport engineering, civil engineering with a focus on transport or a comparable subject. You are interested in transport planning, mobility and urban relations. You work analytically, structured and carefully. You have the pleasure of analysing traffic issues and developing comprehensible solutions. You have good knowledge of the current MS Office applications. Their knowledge of German is very good in word and writing (C1 level). Helpful, but not absolutely necessary are first experiences with macroscopic traffic modeling, for example with PTV VISUM, as well as knowledge in handling CAD or GIS applications. Professional beginners are expressly welcome. More important than the control of individual programs is the willingness to develop professionally and to develop new tasks independently.
