Our client develops hardware-related control technology and intelligent sensor systems, for example for land and construction machines. The systems detect, for example, the nature of soils and then automatically control working functions of agricultural machinery. In construction machines, sensors detect, among other things, the temperature and degree of compaction of asphalt and enable automated control.

For further development of the development team we are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Safety Engineer (m/w/d).

Responsibility and professional support of Functional Safety activities in challenging development projects Implementation and assessment of risk and safety analyses Development and optimization of hardware-related systems (C/C++) and safety concepts Consultation within the development team in implementing safety-relevant requirements Development of internal standards and processes Accompanying reviews, assessments and audits Interface between development, systems engineering and project management

This is not only about processing existing requirements. You should introduce your embedded know-how, develop structures and build and advance the safety area together with the team.

Complete technical studies, e.g. electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or systems engineering Multiannual professional experience in Functional Safety, Product Safety, Systems Safety or a comparable environment Understanding relevant standards and safety-oriented development processes Experience in development in C/C++ Experience in project management or Coordination of complex work packages Technical understanding of embedded systems, electronics or hardware-related software Independent, structured working and the ability to actively promote themes Flowing German knowledge and good English skills You don't have to get out of the environment of land or construction machines. Candidates from automotive, medical technology, machine and plant engineering or other safety-critical development environments are interesting, for example. Your experience, your understanding of standards and your ability to not only implement safety, but to further develop safety.
