The WANT Layer 1 Services department is responsible for operating the BWI WAN transport network with the techniques used there (WDM and CET). In close cooperation with the WAN IP department, whose MPLS-based WAN IP network is based on the transport network, the operation of the WAN service in the BWI is entirely responsible.

Monitoring and early detection of impairments and troubleshooting in the Incident Management Process Examination, coordination and control of orders Function as problem support operation in problem management process Administration and configuration of the network components Technical documentation of orders Development and implementation of internal optimization measures (tool, processes and processes) Supporting architecture in service development, concepts and release tests readiness

Complete study of computer science or comparable training in the IT field with relevant expertise Mind. 5 years of professional experience in the described task Good knowledge and experience in one of the transport network technologies used (WDM, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS) Further knowledge of the techniques SDH, PDH and analog lines (2 wire / 4 wire) would be advantageous Analytical skills, communication strength, initiative, customer orientation and team skills German and good English skills
