Welding Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a reliable and motivated welding specialist for the initial sample testing of our battery containers for traction and auxiliary batteries for the railway sector. Yes we mean you! You carry out initial sample testing at EN15085 welding modules of the CL1 and CL2 classification levels at suppliers in Germany and abroad and check the complete welding documentation provided by the suppliers. You'll start reports on the sweat removals and define corrective measures that you follow until you complete and tune in advance with the supplier's welding supervision to necessary work samples. In addition, you evaluate the weldability in the design phase and support the incoming goods inspection during the evaluation of weld-related irregularities in components and meet decisions for further use together with the Quality Department. You carry out supplier audits together with the departments Quality Assurance and Purchasing, first set audit reports, define corrective measures and ensure their successful implementation. You work closely with the company's welding oversight, especially in the appointment and execution of first-class tests and audits, and communicate directly with the customer's welding oversight if necessary. You also accompany and monitor the laser welding process.

You are a welding engineer (IWE) or welding engineer (IWT) and have a well-founded knowledge in your field and have experience with the EN15085 control system (welding in rail vehicle construction). You are safe in handling MS-Office applications, as well as CAD systems and has good English knowledge in word and writing.
