The current political and structural challenges of the automotive industry require continuous work at the cost position of the Mercedes-Benz vehicle series. We work on cost-saving challenges and our task is to control and shape the improvement process. We also work with the component managers within the development areas in order to achieve the goals for technical product cost optimization together. You work in a young, highly dynamic team with varied topics. Through the focus on all series, you will find a wide range of and exciting insights with the possibility of networking with colleagues in broad parts of the organization. These challenges include: You support us in controlling the achievement of the technical product cost optimization

You work with our departments, internal and external partners, as well as suppliers and agree with them content and results

You support active, cross-functional cost work on the component

You have the opportunity to design your own projects

You support board management and pre- and post-production of top management documents

You will help design workshops on component cost optimisation and assist in pre- and post-processing

The activity can begin from June 2026.

You are at least in the 3rd semester of your Bachelor's degree course or Master's degree

You have certain knowledge of German and English in word and writing

You have good knowledge in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

You are characterized by a pronounced automotive affinity and have a good and innovative basic understanding for the automotive industry (market structure, players, products, current trends and innovative future fields)

In the best case, you can already have first professional experience, such as completed internships or student work activities, etc.

Team spirit is important to you: you are well integrated into the team and are able to work together in the team

You are characterized by a good communication skills – it is not a problem for you to go to colleagues from other teams and departments and work with them.
