Engineer for prototype construction and development (m/f/d)

Member of a dedicated team for research projects and innovative maritime communication technologies, responsible for the realization and commissioning of prototypes and demonstrators Close cooperation with system architect: inside for detailed development of the system design as well as for designing and designing individual mechanical and electromechanical solutions in 3D-CAD, including cabling planning and production of the associated technical drawings Implementation of the designed design as a laboratory pattern, if necessary, as well as commissioning of prototypes in the team, performing first function tests and systematic troubleshooting in hardware inconsistencies Coordination of integration activities with relevant stakeholders:inside, supported by occasional national and international missions Documentation of design decisions, test results and troubleshooting processes as well as ensuring clear and comprehensible communication within the team and external partners

Complete engineering studies or comparable qualifications as well as desirable professional experience, especially in prototype development Basic understanding of radio transmission, radio frequency technology and digital or analog communication systems, practical experience in the integration of radio modules, antennas, control and voltage supply components as well as in simple soldering, crimp, wiring and assembly work Very good CAD knowledge, preferably with Autodesk Inventor, and ideally experience in handling PLM and ERP systems, for example Vault Professional, ARAS Innovator or SAP S/4HANA, as well as knowledge in system engineering, for example Certified Systems Engineer, are desirable Good English knowledge in word and writing, safe handling of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio) as well as pronounced abstraction and analysis capabilities and the ability to quickly work into new facts, systems and devices Embossed communication and team skills, proactive, independent and solution-oriented working methods as well as safe and professional appearance in contact with customers
