The Klassik Stiftung Weimar is a non-profit foundation of public law and is one of the outstanding cultural institutions in Germany. The focus of the Foundation's collections and work are the Weimar Classic, its implications in the art and culture of the 19th century. Century and Modernity with Friedrich Nietzsche and the Bauhaus. The collections are supervised by the Duchess Anna Amalia Library, the Goethe- and Schiller-Archive, the museums and the historic buildings and gardens.

In the Direction of Castles, Gardens and Buildings in the Department of Property Management, at the earliest possible time, limited for 5 years, full-time (40h/week), the following place is to be occupied:

These are your tasks:

• Observe the object care for one or more extensive or complex properties, in particular taking into account listed building structures
• Operation, monitoring and control of building systems as well as building control (GLT), in particular heating, climate, electrical, fire and burglary systems
• Early detection, documentation and forwarding of defects, disturbances and special events in coordination with the Technical Facility Management
• implementation of small repairs, assembly work and maintenance
• cleansing and maintenance of outdoor facilities as well as maintenance of simple traffic safety obligations including winter service and waste disposal
• Coordination of external service companies and monitoring and control of local work
• Implementation of transport and support work in ongoing object operation
• Participation in the service system: standby service from Monday to Friday 18:30 – 06:00 and on weekend 24 hours.

We expect that:

• a completed, at least three-year training in a relevant technical or craft occupation or a comparable qualification
• practical knowledge in facility management, in the maintenance of buildings and in the handling of house and building control
• strong technical expertise and craftsmanship as well as an independent and responsible procedure
• Basic knowledge in dealing with common office applications, smartphones and ideally a facility management system
• a driving licence of class B as well as the readiness for winter service, special opening times and readiness to call
• physical resilience to perform these tasks
