The Integrity & Legal / Compliance Programs & Sustainability (IL/CP) division is responsible for central topics relating to sustainability and compliance at Mercedes-Benz. Our goal is to effectively anchor integrity, regulatory requirements and sustainable action in the company – both strategically and operationally. As part of your internship, you support the Legal & Compliance Sustainability team, which is located within the Sustainability Competence Office. The Sustainability Competence Office is responsible for, manages and coordinates various topics relating to sustainability at Mercedes-Benz. We are sustainability experts, consultants and often the 'First Point of Contact'' on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance). We combine passion and commitment for sustainability and the conviction that only a responsible and sustainable business can be a long-term successful company. As an intern:in you will become part of an interdisciplinary team and get to know the work of a central group area close by. You support ongoing projects, work on current issues and gain insights into processes and decision-making processes of an internationally active company. An internship at the Sustainability Competence Office offers you not only an exciting insight into the world of sustainability, but also the opportunity to actively participate in topics that are crucial for the sustainable and responsible orientation of Mercedes Benz. This means that as an intern: in the Legal & Compliance Sustainability team, you support our activities in integrating regulatory ESG requirements into existing standards and processes. Your tasks include: Observation and systematic analysis of new and amended regulatory ESG requirements, particularly at national and European level, as well as support in the assessment of implications on business, processes and products

Support in the design and implementation of programs and measures to implement regulatory requirements in the ESG context

Participation in controlling the organizational implementation of the European supply chain directive ('CSDDD'')

Support for ESG Due Diligence Exams in M&A Transactions, Cooperations and Licence Management

Participation in the creation of ESG communication materials for internal and external stakeholders, including presentations and briefings

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Law or a related subject

Mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum) as part of your course or combination internship (compulsory and voluntary) is possible

First practical experiences through studies, projects or internships are a plus

Team spirit, initiative and the ability to penetrate new topics quickly

Good analytical skills and a structured thinking ability

Safe handling of MS Office applications (including MS Lists and MS Loop) as well as pronounced affinity for AI applications

Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Availability from September 2026 for 6 months
