The research profile is intended to identify a focus in the field of philological and media- or cultural questions. The teaching is within the framework of the B.A. and M.A. degree programmes German Studies/Germanistic Medieval Studies, in the M.Ed. German, in the interdisciplinary master's degree program Medieval and Renaissance Studies (MaRS) as well as in the doctoral education.

Requirements Positively evaluated junior professorship, habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements and the proof of special suitability for academic teaching are provided as well as the willingness to participate in academic self-governing. The conditions of appeal according to § 36 et seq. Higher education law NW must be fulfilled. a high commitment in teaching; the willingness and proven ability to recruit third-party funded research projects; the willingness to interdisciplinary scientific work; the willingness and ability to participate in in interdisciplinary collaborative research, in particular in research areas of the Faculty of Philology and within the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (CeMaRS); the willingness to cooperate internationally; the readiness and ability to participate in the organisation of the Master Programme “Medieval and Renaissance Studies” (MaRS); the willingness to cooperate with the specialist in German.
