W2-Professur Immersive Design & Fine Art (m/f/d)

You mainly teach immersive fashion design with a focus on the artistic use of current and future-relevant digital tools and methods. Within the project-oriented teaching, you will stage your own artistic projects and reflect current discourses in art, design and society with the students. You integrate and teach 2D and 3D modeling, visualization and animation software as well as AI tools in the Immersive Fashion Design area. In addition to digital processes, you teach artistic foundations such as painting, drawing and photography in the context of fashion. You promote creative, experimental and interdisciplinary design processes and collaborate with other courses of TEXOVERSUM – Faculty Textil. Their commitment is to internationalise, strengthen cooperation with companies, institutions and artistic networks, and promote diversity, intercultural competence, equality and sustainability in all areas. You actively participate in academic self-government and in the faculty team.

A completed university degree. Many years of practical experience in design development and implementation of ever-increasing design and CGI projects as well as design and communication processes in the context of fashion, textile and art. Confidence with modern digital workflows and visualization techniques. Knowledge of cutting design, textile craft and photography. Ability to reflect and teach sustainability in design. Knowledge in handling 3D and animation software as well as AI tools. Teaching experience in analogue and digital teaching situations. Communication strength in German and English. Team spirit and management competence as the basis for teaching, research and self-management. Secure action in various and global contexts. Experience in working with international and intercultural teams.
