Number: MER0003MDO Mercedes-Benz is looking for a student*in to support process development. If you are passionate about automated driving, complex sensor technologies and programming in Python, this master thesis is your chance. They will contribute to the development of calibrating procedures and gain insights into body management, requirements management, economic considerations and the planning and implementation of production tests. Entry questions: Are you intrigued by automated driving and the complex sensor systems integrated into vehicles? Are you also passionate about the world of programming, especially in Python? This master thesis offers experienced students in LIDAR, Camera and Python the opportunity to introduce and deepen their knowledge in this exciting topic. You will analyse new algorithms in a complex framework with regard to their suitability for series production and conduct investigations on the stability of algorithms in different directions of view, both with test setups and test vehicles. You will develop algorithms that identify objects, determine their location and classify them. For these Python-based algorithms, performance indicators (KPIs) are generated for characterization and the measuring capability is detected. These challenges come to you: Support in the development and implementation of calibration methods for new vehicle models Participation in requirement management to ensure that all technical and economic requirements are met Implementation of cost-effectiveness analyses and production of cost-benefit calculations Planning, implementation and support of experiments in production to validate calibration methods Cooperation with various departments and interface coordination Documentation and presentation of work results
