Number: MER00047XP The increasing automation in automotive production places new demands on the design of efficient and continuous material supply processes. Particularly in the provision of small charge carriers (KLT), there are potentials to link manual or partially automated process steps to a greater extent. This bachelor's thesis aims to develop a holistic automation concept for the delivery of a dynamic KLT register. The starting point is the analysis of conventional delivery processes. The relevant process steps, material and information flows as well as the interfaces within the intralogistic process chain are investigated. Depending on the content of the work, the consideration can comprise process steps from picking and providing via internal transport to the physical transfer of the KLT to the dynamic shelf system. The aim is to identify suitable automation potentials, derive requirements and develop and evaluate different solution concepts. Your tasks in detail: Analysis of existing conventional delivery processes for small charge carriers structuring of the relevant process steps from picking, provision and internal transport to rack delivery Investigation of existing material and information flows Identification of manual activities, media breaks and automation potentials Analysis of process, technical and technical interfaces Detection of requirements for automated delivery of the dynamic KLT register Investigation of suitable automation, transport and handling solutions Conception of the physical transfer of KLT between an automated transport or handling system and the shelf system Development of different target processes and automation concepts Definition of appropriate assessment criteria Comparison of the developed concept variants and derivation of a preferred variant documentation of the results and showing possible implementation steps

The aim of the work is to develop a sound and holistic automation concept for the delivery of a dynamic KLT register. The concept should not only consider the transport of the charge carriers, but should take into account the relevant upstream and downstream process steps as well as their physical and informational interfaces. As a result: A structured actual process The main automation potentials A request catalogue Several possible automation concepts A comprehensible variant evaluation and A reasonable advantage variant We offer: A practical and technologically demanding task in the environment of automotive intralogistics Insights into current automation and material supply concepts The possibility to participate in the further development of an innovative dynamic KLT register Cooperation with departments from production, logistics, planning and automation Technical support during the Bachelor's thesis Free space for the development and evaluation of own solution ideas Possibility to combine scientific methods with a concrete operational application

Your Bachelor thesis can start from November 2026. The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us.
