We are looking for a versatile developer personality that further develops our control and monitoring systems for fire control at sea. You can use your strengths in both electronics development and software development – the focus is on one of the two areas, but it is important that you understand and connect both worlds.

Your tasks

• Development of new electronic assemblies and control systems
• Creation of circuit diagrams and circuit board layouts
• Construction, commissioning and testing of hardware prototypes
• Development of firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems
• Development of software and web applications to configure, monitor and diagnose our systems
• Performance of function tests, error analyses and optimizations
• Development of existing products and technologies
• Accompanying product authorisations in cooperation with external testing laboratories
• Close cooperation with production, service and sales

Your profile

• Complete study of electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, technical computer science or comparable qualification
• Experience in the development of electronic circuits and circuit boards
• Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller programming
• Good programming skills in C/C++
• Knowledge of assemblers is advantageous
• Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks such as PHP, JavaScript, Node.js or comparable technologies are desirable
• Knowledge of databases, web technologies or network communication are a plus
• Joy in developing hardware and software together
• Self-employed and structured work
• Team skills and initiative
