The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) is a globally outstanding centre for fusion research. With around 1100 dedicated employees in Garching near Munich and Greifswald, we are dedicated to researching the foundations for fusion power plants. Fusion power plants have the potential to play an important role in the energy supply of future generations. At the IPP site in Garching, we are conducting research at the ASDEX Upgrade major experiment. This is a fusion plant of the worldwide known type Tokamak.

Account Manager (m/w/d) / Payroll Specialist (85% part time) Garching Part-time, unlimited Call number: 26/014 The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching is looking for a wage and salary account holder for the Garching personnel department (85% part-time, a fixed-term full-time employment is possible in agreement).

Tasks • Self-employed, on-time and professional settlement of billing of charges including sickness allowances and holiday allowances in compliance with statutory and operational requirements • Advice for employees and managers in the fields of collective bargaining, tax and social security law • Implementation of reporting, reporting and certification • Correspondence with social security institutions, health insurance institutions and authorities • Process and interface optimization within the scope of your task • Support for the implementation of projects for payment accounting

Profile • A successfully completed commercial training with further training to the wage and salary accountant (m/w/d) or similar • At least 2 years of professional experience in wage billing • Experience with the application of the TVöD as well as in the additional public service (VBL) as well as knowledge of the OK.PWS accounting system of the AKDB is desirable. • German language skills and good English knowledge in word and writing • SAP knowledge advantageous
